The buttery depicted in my collection and featured in much of my art work is a small out building that is unique to our island.  Seen dotted across the Bermudian landscape it served historically to keep provisions cool.  The sharply pitched and high roof allowed heat to rise.  It is a small, beautifully proportioned building, a perfect symbol of the beauty and practicability of Bermuda’s traditional architecture.

It is a predominant element seen in my designs, a visual reminder of the uniqueness of our island.
