Seahorse

Three species of sea horses have been found in Bermuda and can be discovered in our sea grass beds. They are a protected species that engage in prolonged courtship rituals, displaying bright colors with elaborate dances.  The males are fiercely competitive in this department, perhaps a Bermudian feature as well!  They eventually give birth to and nurture their young… a truly unique phenomena anywhere.
